Experiential Learning and Internships

Work experiences such as internships, student teaching, field work, and clinical placements provide students with involvement in professional settings and practical experience that better prepare them for careers that make a difference.

Experiential learning offers an opportunity to explore careers and to gain valuable career-preparatory experience and skills that employers find valuable.

Internships and externships allow Honors Scholars to get an insider's view of what types of skills, knowledge, and capabilities they will need to acquire or develop in order to be successful in a particular career path.

Scholars can receive academic credit for experiential learning experiences through the RISE to the IUPUI Challenge.

Career EDGE fosters student involvement and supports the career development process from interest exploration to employment.

IUPUI Talent connects students and alumni to internships and employment.

The IUPUI Solution Center facilitates partnerships with Indiana's business, nonprofit, and government leaders. As a front door to the campus, it assists Honors Scholars looking for internships through sponsorship of Intern Connection Fairs and Career Weeks.
