IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.

Update: Robyn graduated in May 2009 and began as a Bepko Fellow in the IU School of Education in Summer 2009.
She may have hung up her pompoms -- at least for now -- but IUPUI freshman Robyn Johnson still has plenty to cheer about.
Robyn was one of two National Merit Scholars to join the IUPUI student body as a freshman in the IU School of Liberal Arts in 2006. The double-major in political science and Spanish was also one of the 2006 class of Bepko Scholars, which provides talented students with programs in service learning and civic engagement, along with supplemental programming that includes study-abroad opportunities and internships.
The service part of her Bepko Scholarship came easily to the graduate of Mount Vernon High School in Hancock County, just east of Indianapolis. She tutored IUPUI students in Spanish and volunteered as a cheer coach for young girls in Indianapolis, combining her passions for volunteerism and the sport of cheerleading. While still in high school, she served as a tutor for Mount Vernon students taking English as a second language and spent the summer before starting at IUPUI volunteering with a local cheerleading program.
Robyn, who competed on the 2005 Ultra Stars National Championship Cheerleading Squad, is chasing a career in international law, which would combine her chosen field with yet another passion for the effervescent student: international travel. She's well prepared for her future travels, since she has studied Spanish, French and Italian.
