IUPUI is Indiana's premier urban research university. The campus enrolls more than 30,000 students in 21 schools and academic units.

Update: Emily graduated in May 2006.
Numbers are a big part of life for Emily Puntenney. The graduate of the Purdue School of Science used them daily in her pursuit of a BS degree in mathematics, a big step toward her career goal to become an actuary. Emily even uses numbers for fun, whether it's applying the principles of logic in games like Sudoku to using them with her husband in building their fantasy football team.
As a Sam H. Jones Community Service scholarship recipient, Emily was a familiar face in IUPUI's numerous volunteer projects. She was a volunteer worker at IUPUI's Office of Community Service and for Girls Incorporated of Indianapolis, in both cases using her knowledge of math and finance to create budgets, seek grants and control expenses.
Emily ranked among IUPUI's top academic achievers throughout her career. She was among the university's "Top 10 Women Students" in 2005, was the recipient of the Anna K. Suter Scholarship, was an Honors Program Scholar, a Science Scholar, and a regular on the dean's list.
